Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at your Arusha hotel, your driver-guide picks you up and begins the journey to Lake Manyara National Park. The park's varied habitat includes groundwater forest, bush plains, and the soda lake with its pink flamingo flocks. Wildlife highlights include elephant herds, hippos, buffalo, and the park's famous tree-climbing lions. Game drive through the afternoon, then proceed to the lodge near Karatu.

Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands — passing coffee plantations and Maasai settlements — towards the Serengeti. Arrive in the Serengeti by midday for extensive game drives across the vast savannah plains. The Serengeti ecosystem is the largest park in Tanzania and supports the world's greatest wildlife migration, with approximately 1.5 million wildebeest, 250,000 zebra, and 500,000 Thomson's gazelle moving in a continuous clockwise circuit.

Serengeti Tortilis Camp (Full Board)

Full Day Serengeti National Park

A full day to explore the Serengeti at your own pace. Your expert guide will seek out the best wildlife viewing areas based on seasonal animal movements. Lion prides, cheetahs on the plains, leopards in acacia trees, crocodile-packed rivers, and enormous elephant family groups are all possible encounters. Enjoy a picnic lunch deep in the bush before an extended afternoon game drive.

Serengeti Tortilis Camp (Full Board)

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a magnificent full-day game drive. Descend 600m into the crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the natural wonders of the world. This densely populated ecosystem is home to approximately 30,000 animals, including all Big Five and the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, ascend and return to Arusha.
