Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and services provided by AMG Safaris ("we", "us", "our"), a licensed tour operator based in Arusha, Tanzania. By making a booking with us, you ("the client") confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. We encourage you to read them carefully.

1. Bookings & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once we have received your completed enquiry, issued a written confirmation, and received your deposit. A deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to secure your reservation and any associated park permits, lodge reservations, or domestic flights. All prices are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise stated.

2. Payment

The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of confirmation. We accept bank transfer and major payment methods as advised at the time of booking. Park fees and government taxes are subject to change without notice and beyond our control.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds are calculated from the date we receive your written notice: more than 60 days before departure, your deposit is refunded in full less any non-recoverable supplier costs; between 30 and 60 days, 50% of the total tour cost is refunded; less than 30 days before departure, no refund is available. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

4. Changes to Your Itinerary

We will always do our utmost to honour the itinerary as confirmed. However, safaris take place in wild, natural environments, and occasionally changes are necessary due to weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, park regulations, or other factors beyond our control. In such cases we will provide the closest possible alternative of equivalent standard, at no detriment to the quality of your experience.

5. Travel Insurance & Health

Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings is a condition of travel with us. You are responsible for ensuring you hold valid travel documents, required visas, and any vaccinations recommended for travel to Tanzania. Please consult your physician and the relevant authorities well in advance of departure.

6. Liability

AMG Safaris acts in good faith and with reasonable care in arranging your safari. We are not liable for loss, injury, delay, or damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of nature, wildlife behaviour, or the actions of third-party suppliers. Our liability is limited to the total value of the services booked. This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Your Privacy

We respect your privacy and handle your personal information with care, using it solely to deliver and improve your safari experience. We never sell your data. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any matters arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts.
