This 5-day safari allows you to experience the highlights of Tanzania's Northern Circuit. You will have a breath-taking wildlife experience in some of the most famous areas of Serengeti National Park.
The wildebeest migration is the movement of vast numbers of Serengeti wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra and other animals — an annual pattern which is fairly predictable. Witness millions of wildebeest and zebra thundering across vast savannahs alongside predators and diverse ecosystems from soda lakes to ancient craters.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After your breakfast at your accommodation you will drive to Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of acacia woodland and giant African baobab trees with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals during the dry season. Tarangire is famously known for some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa.

Karatu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will continue towards the fertile highlands. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will see the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before travelling onwards to the Serengeti National Park. Here the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place and depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for food and water. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to your campsite.

Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, you will continue with the game drive. On this day you have an option to do a full-day game drive or divide sessions into an early morning then an evening session. For those wishing to see a lot, we advise heading out for the whole day in this incredible ecosystem.

Serengeti – Ngorongoro National Park
After breakfast we descend 600m into the magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania's remaining black rhino. You will see herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Its huge population of predators makes for extraordinary viewing. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor and later game en-route towards the luxurious stay at Karatu.

Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park
After your breakfast you will head direct to Lake Manyara National Park for your game drive. This park is one of Tanzania's most dramatically located wildlife areas — a massive but shallow soda lake at the foot of the Great Rift Valley's western escarpment. The park's varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals including one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants, unique tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos. After your game drive you will be transferred back to the airport.
